Whatever it is that has led you to Hosanna Counseling– life dissatisfaction, day-to-day unmanageability, pain, suffering, or perhaps a search for meaning and purpose in your life… I am happy you found your way. Right here. Right now.
I have been building my practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist for over two decades. Early on in my career, I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Henry Cloud (co-author of the best-selling book “Boundaries”) and was asked to join his team of therapists. In that setting I learned how to integrate the intimate balance between psychotherapy and spirituality.
Over the years at Hosanna, as my marriage grew, and my children grew into teenagers, my approach to counseling has both matured and remained the same: Client-centered and eclectic. My training has focused on cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and emotion focused therapy. I provide an environment of unconditional acceptance, and have a genuine interest in my clients. I am qualified to address any and all unique needs including anxiety, depression, chemical dependency, trauma, and abuse, abandonment and loss. I have a personal affinity for working with young adults, families with children with special needs, and those grappling with addiction and recovery. The scope of my practice also includes a wide range of interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges specific to life’s developmental milestones – dating, engagement, marriage, parenting, divorce, ‘empty-nest,’ new job or career path, relocation, death, dying, and bereavement, as they present themselves in your own life.
I am a graduate of UCLA. Class of 1986. I trained at the Pepperdine School of Education and Psychology soon after. That is where I was twenty-seven years ago. Today, with professional expansion and life wisdom guiding me, I am here to meet you where you are. Exactly where you are. Right here. Right now. Today.
